Thoughts From Sloan: "The whirlwind weekend of wonderful New Jersey shows with Rufus was downright sublime. After a 4 month hiatus from performing, it was a thrill to be back on stage and an honor to be singing with my beautiful and talented nephew. Newsflash! Rufus' audiences are truly amazing! Generous, Fun, Great listeners! I can't wait to do it again."

Be A Part of Something So Important: Sat-May-24 in Katonah, New York,
The Driving For Donors rally and registration.

Luann and Jeff Morris are new and wonderful friends. They have been a great source of support and kindness to George and Sloan as George continues to recover from his January 2008 bone marrow transplant. Jeff had a bone marrow transplant in July of 2007 and he's doing great.

With gratitude and thankfulness, the Morris' and the McTaveys are joining forces with an amazing young man, Pat Pendraja, supporting his mission of increasing awareness and adding numbers to the National Bone Marrow Registry.

Only 20% of people who need a stem cell or bone marrow transplant are able to find a suitable donor match. We want to help change these odds. To that end, Katonah is confirmed as one of the stops on Pat's second national tour. This is a grass roots type drive, Pat and his Mom, and his donated RV, will be here to help us register new donors.

When: May 24th, 2008 10:00am-4:00pm
Where: Katonah Village Library

Who: Essentially anyone in good health between the ages of 18 and 55..
(Let's try and encourage our adult children to participate in this effort)

Donations will be accepted (especially for you over 55's) but REGISTRATIONS are our primary goal. Refreshments, music and commradery will be in abundance.
