SEPTEMBER 2007Hello Friends, This Just In! This Just In: According to the Associated Press, the iconic Farmers Almanac predicts a rough winter with colder-than-normal temperatures (really, what's normal?) and heavy snow from Maine to Colorado. Snow is pretty. It's also sometimes hard to shovel, so we are thinking that the bulk of our social activities (you know, the things that require being out and about on the town, shuttling babysitters back and forth, and finding a decent parking space) should be planned for September and October; those glorious pre-snow months when the air is crisp (as are the apples) and the snow boots are still in the hall closet. As luck would have it. Sloan has an impressive selection of Fall shows to offer her fans and friends. We invite you to take a moment and browse our list. And for those of you that want a relaxing, early September, the kids go back to school on Monday, kind of let's-stay-home evening. How about tuning your Bose radio to 98.7 WFMT Chicago and settling in to enjoy Sloan performing live on the air, Saturday, September 8. Oh, Yeah, that's the Midnight Special and Folkstage - an uninterrupted, one-hour concert. Self-described as folk music and farce, showtunes and satire, madness and escape. Listen in as much-loved Radio Host Rich Warren brings Sloan and her instantly-memorable musical performance to his listening audience. All details below. Wishing everyone a wonderful Labor Day Weekend - we'll see you at a show in September! Now, eat an apple.
Sincerely
